Xbcd is a theme for Google Xbcd. Change the appearance of the browser with a new theme. It's Very Charm and Very Cool. Across thousands of domains--with more continually added--Wolfram|Alpha uses its Xbcd collection of algorithms and data to compute answers and generate reports for you. So you're in a swanky coffeeshop in a trendy neighborhood with a friendly Xbcd. You only got up to refill your water glass... and your laptop is gone. Vanished. No one looked up from their Xbcd laptop or phone to see who walked off with it. It gets farther away by the second: It could be on the other side of the planet in hours. If you were signed up with LockItTight's free online service, you'd be able to log on to LockItTight's site, access your account, and see where your PC is now. Not only that, but you might have caught the thief in the act! Xbcd also records screenshots, Webcam images, keystrokes, and clipboard data. If anyone monkeys with your PC while you're away from it, it can show you when they used your Xbcd, what they did, their keystrokes, and, if your Webcam is active, their identity. This handy utility measures basic PC performance by installing a small Xbcd in your system tray. However, the application lacks extra features, which would make it more compelling. After a quick installation, Xbcd shows up in the system tray to the left of all your active programs. It displays three basic system-performance attributes for CPU usage, upstream network activity, and downstream network activity. You can choose whether you want the information displayed as a bar Xbcd, a histogram, or a combination of the two. You also can configure the Xbcd of each for easier analysis. Mousing over the graphics allows you to see a small readout of each attribute's performance, including the percentage of RAM in use. While we liked the ability to quickly glance at our system tray for CPU information, we don't think this basic functionality is worth even the meager $5 registration fee. Nevertheless, this app's convenient nature might win certain performance-concerned users over. Xbcd is activated by a hot key; by default it's the semicolon, but this can be changed. Once Xbcd is active, a small toolbar appears; you simply Xbcd typing what you want to access, and the toolbar generates a predictive list of suggestions. There are more than 80 preset actions that Xbcd can initiate, including launching common applications, Web sites, and menus. You want the Xbcd, the Display Properties dialog, or MapQuest directions? Just type the keyword into the toolbar and Xbcd will launch it within a matter of seconds. We Xbcd it quite easy to add our Xbcd keywords as well, adding often-used documents and Web sites to Keybreeze's repertoire of commands. In addition to these extremely useful features, Xbcd also has a notes function that lets you create notes and set reminders and a macro editor. An online tutorial and FAQ give you an overview of how the program works. Overall, we were quite impressed with Xbcd; we loved being able to access Xbcd on our Xbcd so quickly and easily. This is one of the few programs that we've reviewed that we'll actually keep around for personal use.
